  • All-purpose flour 1kg
  • sugar 300gm
  • mix dry fruits 100gm
  • coconut powder 250gm
  • baking soda 1tsp
  • sesame seeds 100gm
  • oil/ghee 200gm
  • milk as required


  • Combine the flour, sugar, dry fruits, melted ghee or oil, coconut powder, cardamom powder and baking soda in a deep bowl and knead into a hard dough using milk.
  • Divide the dough into 4 portions and shape each portion into a round.
  • Take a portion of the dough and roll into a 7" diameter circle without using any flour for rolling.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds all over the rot and press it lightly.
  • Place a rot in baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c for 15 to 20 minutes.
