Coconut Puran Poli is also called as Kaayi Holige in South. This is a popular festival special recipe.


  • 2 cups grated coconut
  • 2 cups grated jaggery
  • 250 gms Maida flour
  • 1 tea spoon Cardamom powder
  • 3 table spoon oil
  • Water to make dough


  • Firstly prepare very smooth and soft dough by adding water and keep aside.
  • Add coconut and jaggery mix t well and leave for 10 minutes.
  • The jaggery will release liquid content thn heat this coconut in a low flame and jaggery mix to make stuff.
  • Add Cardamom powder and mix all these well.
  • Make a desire size of balls from dough by greesing your palm by oil.
  • Fill the stuff inside the balls and flatten it like parata.
  • Cook it on a pan in a low flame by flipping the sides.
  • Serve this hot with Ghee.You just love it
