Spicy Chole Masala


  • 1 cup of chole
  • 1 table spoon chole masala
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 6 green chilly
  • Salt for taste
  • 1 table spoon oil
  • 1 tea spoon mustard seeds
  • 6 curry leaves
  • 1 tea spoon of jeera


  • Soak chole in water for more than 6 hours or else leave for whole night
  • Cook the chole for 7-8 whistles in cooker by adding some water enough to cook it.
  • Take a pan add oil and heat it
  • Add jeera ,mustard seeds,curry leaves and onion .Fry it till the onion turns to golden color.
  • Add the cooked chole and water within the cooker to the pan
  • Add chole masala and salt for taste
  • Leave it for 10 min in a low flame. Then turn off the gas
  • Serve it with Roti or Chapathi .Or you can have it with rice also
