  • Mixed vegetables (French beans, carrots, peas) finely chopped 2 cups,
  • Tomato purée-2 cups,
  • Potatoes boiled and mashed - 2,
  • Fresh breadcrumbs 1/2 cu
  • Ginger finely chopped 1 tsp,
  • redchilly powder-1/2 TSP,
  • salt to taste,
  • Green chillies finely chopped 2,
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • For gravy -Cinnamon stick 1 inch,
  • Oil 2tbs
  • Green cardamoms 2-3,
  • Cumin seeds 1tsp,
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp,
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp,
  • Turmeric powder -1/4tsp,
  • Cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon,
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp,
  • Fresh coriander leaves roughly chopped 1/2 cup,
  • Fresh mint leaves roughly chopped 1/2 cup,
  • Tomato purée 1/2 cup,
  • Butter 1 tbs,
  • Tomato purée 1/2 cup,
  • onions paste -1tbs,
  • ginger garlic paste-1tsp,


  • To make the koftas, mix together mixed vegetables, potatoes, breadcrumbs, green chillies, ginger, red chilli powder, chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves and salt.
  • Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls and deep fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  • To make the gravy, heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cinnamon, green cardamoms, and cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant add ginger garlic paste onion paste red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder and mix well add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the gravy into a serving dish, place koftas over it and serve hot.garnish with coriander leaves.
